Andros Island is the largest island in The Bahamas with a population of approximately 12,000. The islands of The Bahamas are made up of seven hundred (700) islands. Of this 700, Andros Island is comprised of two hundred (200) islands and its footprint stretches 108 miles long and up to 40 miles wide.
